Avoid Scams!

How to Avoid Scamming When You Need It Most!

1. NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD! No matter who they say they are, never ever ever! They may seem to be your friends, but they might just be lying. Whether it is makeup tricks, presentations, suites, etc., don't give it out. Do your best without them!
2. Never change your email to one that is not yours. Even if it is shared, don't do it!
3. There is no "cheat" to getting free Stardollars, memberships, rares, or anything like that!
4. When trading, check their references to make sure they are legitimate with more than 4. Make sure they are a trusted person who you have gotten to know for a bit. BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS IF YOU GO FIRST!
5. Make sure you are not logging in to a fake Stardoll website. Make sure it says http://www.stardoll.com/en/ before you enter your information. If it does not say that, leave the site! It is a hacker's version of Stardoll who is trying to trick you!
6. Stay aware of who is a scammer and who can be trsuted.
7. If you have been hacked, quickly contact Stardoll explaining everything that happened and asking for them to intervene. Don't let any detail go unnoticed!
8. If you believe you are being hacked, log out of Stardoll ASAP! Close everything you are on, including your browser, and open up the browser again. Request a new password to be sent to your account's registered email. Act fast, because you don't have much time!
9. Do not surf the web when you are logged in to Stardoll! There are sites that can track your password with programs called cookies. Be sure to clean out your cookies from your computer once in a while. Keep it clean! Also, you might want to keep an Anti-Virus system, such as Norton's Anti-Virus, to protect your computer and all passwords from hackers.
10. Last but not least, have a password that is very hard for even the closest people in your life to figure out. Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. You might want to consider doing this every 4-5 months.
